Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School has been at the forefront of AI innovation since launching a strategic partnership with BoodleBox earlier this academic year. This ongoing initiative provides over 200 of our faculty and students with secure access to multiple leading AI models in one centralized platform.

“Our AI integration journey at Mays has been gaining momentum over the past several years,” said Dr. Nate Y. Sharp, dean of Mays Business School. “By thoughtfully incorporating these tools, we’re not just teaching about emerging technologies — we’re giving our students hands-on experience with the same tools reshaping global business, consistent with our vision of building a better future through business education.”

The BoodleBox platform has equipped Mays faculty and staff with tools to enhance course development, create personalized learning experiences, and provide nuanced feedback on AI-assisted student work. For students, the platform has created opportunities to develop essential AI literacy, collaborate effectively on projects, and properly cite and share their use of AI — skills increasingly valued by the employers who recruit from Mays.

Since the initial rollout, adoption has grown across numerous courses, with faculty leveraging the platform’s capabilities to create AI assistants tailored to specific educational needs. In a particularly notable development, students in Stephen Ramseur’s FINC 675 class designed their own course-specific bots, showcasing practical applications of AI in supporting learning.

“In my Analysis of Real Estate Investment Decisions course, I challenged students to design AI assistants to guide their learning journey,” said Professor Ramseur. “The outcome was transformative; students crafted personalized AI companions that clarified intricate financial models, evaluated real-world investment scenarios, and streamlined assignment preparation. By integrating AI to analyze a live Dallas real estate investment, students experienced firsthand how AI amplifies their finance and real estate expertise, bridging classroom theory with practical application. This innovative approach deepened their mastery of real estate finance and equipped them with cutting-edge AI skills for their future careers.”

This ongoing implementation at Mays Business School serves as a model for future campus-wide AI integration initiatives at Texas A&M University, representing a thoughtful approach to incorporating AI in higher education as artificial intelligence reshapes the professional landscape.

“Our partnership with Mays Business School exemplifies what’s possible when forward-thinking educational institutions embrace AI as a collaborative tool,” said France Hoang, CEO of BoodleBox. “Educators and students at Mays have shown remarkable creativity in developing custom AI assistants that address specific educational needs. Their approach serves as a framework for how higher education can thoughtfully integrate AI into the learning experience.”

The custom bots created by the Mays community are available for exploration in the showcase gallery at boodlebox.ai/edu/tamu. This growing collection demonstrates the creative ways faculty and students are applying AI to enhance learning experiences across disciplines.
