Mays Business School
Mays Business School proudly announces its 2025 Outstanding Alumni Award recipients: Larry Little ’73, Andy Beakey ’84, and Cindy McClain ’90. Established in 1992, this prestigious honor recognizes former students who exemplify the school’s mission to develop leaders of character. These distinguished honorees demonstrate leadership through their professional excellence, community impact, and dedicated service to Mays.
This year’s recipients embody our commitment to preeminence, setting the standard for business leadership that inspires future generations of Aggies. Through innovative contributions to their industries, steadfast dedication to their communities, and continued engagement with Mays Business School, they represent the kind of leaders we strive to develop.
Larry Little ’73
Larry Little ’73 is the retired owner of Ace Fence Company, which he grew to be the largest fence company in Dallas-Fort Worth. A Bryan native and first generation college student whose first job was selling Cokes at Kyle Field, Larry earned his degree in marketing from Mays Business School.
With a job in textbook publishing, he spent summers working with a friend’s fence company, inspiring him to start his own company. Ace Fence Company’s success has allowed Larry and his wife, Pam ’75 — parents to two children — to give back through many generous donations to Texas A&M, including scholarships for students in Mays and the VetMed school. The Littles are also frequent guest speakers in Mays’ Strategic Philanthropy course.
Larry is an active member of his community in Fairview, serving on the town council, at his church, and with various nonprofits.
Andy Beakey ’84
Andy Beakey ’84 is a consultant and retired tax partner with Ernst & Young (EY). An accounting graduate of Mays Business School, Andy spent more than 35 years in public accounting, including 25 at EY.
Before retiring in 2020, he spent years as the Texas A&M Campus Coordinating Partner for EY, helping over 1,500 Mays students start careers at EY. He was named to the James Benjamin Department of Accounting Hall of Honor in 2017, and frequently gives back by speaking to accounting classes and serving on the James Benjamin Department of Accounting Advisory Council and the Chancellor’s Century Council.
He and his wife, Denise ’86, are parents to Drew Beakey ’19, who played on the Texas A&M football team while earning his BBA in finance. They’ve established the Beakey Family Scholarship at Mays, as well as given back through support of the 12th Man Foundation, as A&M Foundation Legacy Donors, and as Association of Former Students Diamond Century Donors.
Cindy McClain ’90
Cindy McClain ’90 is a co-owner and CEO of health and beauty company Accelerated Manufacturing Solutions. She co-founded the company with her husband, Chris McClain, in 2003.
Cindy earned a degree in marketing from Mays Business School and started her career with Proctor & Gamble, moving to Johnson & Johnson before launching Accelerated Manufacturing Solutions with Chris. After selling their original portfolio of brands including Dr Teal’s, cantu, and bodycology to private equity, today they are launching new family health and beauty products called Aquation personal care wipes.
She is now committed to giving back to Mays Business School through her contributions and volunteer work, as well as through her involvement in the Dean’s Advisory Board. Together, she and Chris have three sons, all of whom are Mays graduates.
