Mays Jumps in U.S. News & World Report Undergraduate Rankings
The school’s BBA program and all of its undergraduate departments rank in the top 15 for public universities.

Mays Business School
Mays Business School has risen three spots in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Colleges rankings. The school broke into the top 15 for public business schools and top 25 nationwide at No. 14 for public and No. 24 overall.
“We’re proud to see this acknowledgment of the outstanding educational experience we provide for our students as we help them develop into leaders of character,” says Mays Business School Dean Dr. Nate Y. Sharp. “Our improvement in this year’s rankings marks an important step on our journey to becoming the preeminent public business school in the country.”
The undergraduate programs within Mays’ five academic departments also all earned top 15 rankings among public business schools.
Management: No. 9 overall; No. 6 public
Accounting: No. 13 overall; No. 7 public
Marketing: No. 14 overall; No. 10 public
Production/operations management: No. 17 overall; No. 13 public
Finance: No. 38 overall; No. 14 public
The rankings are based on surveys sent to deans and senior faculty members at business schools accredited by AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Texas A&M University was ranked No. 21 among public universities nationwide. Additionally, the university’s first-year experience ranked No. 28 for all universities, and No. 17 for study abroad programs. Mays’ Center for International Business Studies encourages students to have an international experience as part of their undergraduate studies. Currently, 25 percent of Mays seniors graduate having participated in a global experience through internships, volunteer trips, university exchanges, or study abroad trips with Mays faculty and students.
